If you are planning a trip to Cancun here are my top 7 Cancun outfits! We’ve been to Cancun 5 or 6 times now and I’m a beach girl at heart so I love packing for these trips!

When I pack for Cancun I usually do carry on only because most of my Cancun outfits don’t take up much space so it’s really easy to pack for a 5-day trip. I sometimes even manage to stuff a pair of wedge heels in my carry-on suitcase!
But most of the time I leave my heels at home and bring stylish flats instead. I’ll also pack a straw or colorful clutch with all of my Cancun outfits.
Other accessories I bring include 2 to 3 pairs of sunglasses to mix up my outfits a bit since sunglasses can change the feel of a look. And I’ll also bring a straw hat for sun protection and because a hat always elevates a look at the pool.
I like to keep what I wear in Cancun super easy because I’m on vacation and don’t want to worry too much when getting dressed.
And since Cancun has a tropical climate, I usually don’t bother to layer. During the winter months of November to March/April it can get chilly in Cancun, so I’ll usually bring a light jacket to wear at night.
But if you are going in the summer months of May to September you most likely won’t need a jacket because it’s hot and humid all day and all night! I definitely prefer the heat to the cold so I usually travel to Cancun during July and August.

Cancun Outfits: Idea #1
A crochet dress is one of my favorite Cancun outfits! Crochet has made a huge come back in 2023 and into 2024, so a crochet top, dress, or cute set is a must!

If your crochet is lined you can wear it out otherwise I usually wear it as a bikini cover up to the pool, beach, or on a tour!
Cancun Outfits: Idea #2
Maxi dresses are one of the easiest outfits to wear in Cancun. They can been worn during the day, in the evening, or even as a swim cover up.

I usually like packing colorful maxi dresses for Cancun to match the colorful background!

Open back dresses are something I always wear in Cancun!
They are so pretty and easy to wear any time of day. If you are on the shorter dress they are easier to maneuver in than a long maxi dress.

If you are staying at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun or any luxury resort in Cancun you will want a chic cover-up skirt for running from your room to the pool to the beach!

A cover up skirt is perfect because it turns your swimsuit into an outfit!

Plus it makes for beautiful pictures!
Cancun Outfit #8: One Piece Swimsuit
I love a good string bikini but after sampling delicious tacos and margaritas you might want a swimsuit with a bit more coverage that’s still stylish.

A fun plunge neck one-piece swimsuit in vibrant color or animal print is perfect for Cancun.
Cancun Outfit #9: Colorful Kimono
A fun kimono is a great way to dress up your poolside look. I especially love full-length options that can be tied up like a robe!
