I’ve been giving the cold shoulder with off shoulder tops to these last dog days of summer! Don’t you just love this trend! It’s sexy without showing too much skin.
I bought this particular off shoulder top in Thailand but there’s so many choices out there these days! And of course I had to get it in more than one color as with my lace dress.
A few tips though on finding the perfect off shoulder top. Look for “sleeves” that are attached to the actual sides of the top like the one I’m wearing instead of one with an elastic across the shoulders. This really helps with movement of your arms. The off shoulder tops and dresses with one elastic all the way across tend to ride up your shoulders when you reach for anything! But I’ll have to admit some of them with extra ruffles are so darn cute I might just never move my arms while wearing!
Look for something with a slightly stiffer fabric for extra poof or with a soft and flowy fabric for a more romantic feel. My off shoulder top is a cotton poly blend so it’s more sturdy and I like the poof it gives. Look for fun details like exaggerated sleeves or tie sleeves. And a nice heart shaped neckline is always flattering (though really easy to DIY with a pin to your strapless bra).

I love it paired casually with cut offs and of course my trusty gladiators that I’ve been wearing all summer long. And a panama hat is a must for good sun protection. And you can’t beat the beautiful wall mural I discovered while hunting for Pokemon! Is anyone else playing that game? I’ve stopped recently because I had to do an update and the game I think deleted my account!

Maria, they are Hollister I believe but they were flared jeans that I cut into cut offs and threw into the washing machine! Just a little DIY! I couldn’t bare to toss these jeans because they fit so well, but I never wore them anymore so I thought why not make shorts! Thanks for dropping by!
